At Random Sounds, we work every day to make your platform more efficient and easier to operate.
During May, the product team focused on making a set of functional improvements that are already active. Some are small adjustments that optimize flows, others add new options to improve your operational control.
Distribution and Delivery
New field for interpreters in the launch form
You can now add performers directly from the launch form. This avoids additional steps and ensures that each track has its credits correctly from the start.

Draft release removal
Admins can now delete releases that are still in draft status. This helps keep your workspace organized and free of unpublished clutter.

Improved copyright match messages
We’ve updated the activity log messages for audio matches. It’s now easier to understand what was matched and which track triggered it.
Optimized Spotify import form
Minor UX improvements: users can’t add a new link if the previous one is empty, and alert messages are now clearer.
First interpreter required
From now on, it is mandatory to assign at least one interpreter per track. This ensures consistency in metadata and reduces rejections in stores.
Fix for duplicated performers by instrument
You can now list the same performer multiple times on a track if they play different instruments.
Catalog Management
Skipped count in bulk imports
When bulk importing, you can now see how many releases were skipped and why. This improves traceability and allows quick corrections.
Contract validation for release transfers
Transfers now check if the receiving user has an active contract for the period. This prevents administrative errors.
Performance improvements for admin view
We’ve reduced load times in the admin view for releases, especially with large catalogs.
Import YouTube assets and labels
You can now import assets and labels from a CSV file. We also added a dedicated section to manage this content.

Daily DSPs Analytics
Pandora stats now available
We’ve integrated Pandora playback and performance data into our analytics. It’s now part of your per-track and per-release insights.
Customer Management
Attach PDFs to contracts
PDF files can now be uploaded directly to contracts in the system. This centralizes documentation and streamlines workflows.

User balance history
Each user now has a balance history log, detailing income, payouts, and adjustments.

Royalty Reports
Filter by subscription plan
You can now filter releases based on the user’s subscription plan. This enables better reporting and internal segmentation.
Royalty Payment
Splits limits by subscription plan
You can define how many splits a user can create based on their plan. This helps tailor the functionality to each account type.

Plans and Monetization
Create Stripe plans and pricing from Backstage
You can now set up Stripe plans and pricing directly from the internal dashboard—no need to leave the platform.
Display only active plans
Only currently active plans are shown in the subscription section to avoid confusion.

More details when applying coupons
You can now view additional plan information when assigning it to a coupon.

Customizable plan benefits
Each plan can have its own set of benefits defined at a granular level. This allows for flexible subscription tiers and clearer value propositions.
